Oleg Tistol

Oleg Tistol is a Ukrainian contemporary artist born in 1960, known for his bold, graphic works that blend Soviet-era imagery, Ukrainian cultural symbols, and pop art aesthetics. He was a founding member of the National-Romantics group in the late 1980s and co-founded the influential Ukrainian art project 'Volga-Volga' with Mykola Matsenko. His paintings often interrogate post-Soviet identity, nationalism, and collective memory through vivid color and appropriated iconography.
