Lucien Dulfan is a Soviet-born conceptualist artist who was recognized as a Nonconformist artist during his career in the USSR, working outside the constraints of official Soviet artistic doctrine. He emigrated to the United States in 1990, where he has continued his practice rooted in conceptual art traditions. His work bridges the experience of Soviet underground art culture with contemporary Western conceptualism.
