Yasuhiro Wakabayashi, known professionally as Hiro, is a Japanese-American photographer celebrated for his highly stylized, technically precise fashion and advertising photography. Working primarily from the 1950s onward, he became a dominant force in American commercial photography, contributing iconic imagery to Harper's Bazaar under art director Marvin Israel and later on his own terms. His work is distinguished by its bold graphic compositions, innovative lighting, and a seamless blend of fine art sensibility with commercial appeal.
