Henry Moret (1856–1913) was a French Post-Impressionist painter closely associated with the Pont-Aven School, known for his vivid, expressive depictions of the Breton coastline and rural Brittany landscapes. A student of Jules Lefebvre and a contemporary of Paul Gauguin, Moret developed a bold, colorful style influenced by Impressionism that captured the rugged beauty of the sea, cliffs, and fishing villages of western France. His works are regularly featured in major auction houses and are held in numerous public and private collections worldwide.
