Gregorio Vardanega (1923–2007) was an Italian-Argentine kinetic and op art pioneer known for his luminous, electrically animated constructions that explored light, movement, and space. Working primarily in Paris from the 1950s onward, he was a central figure in the kinetic art movement, associated with groups such as GRAV (Groupe de Recherche d'Art Visuel). His works, often incorporating neon, plexiglass, and programmed light sequences, bridged scientific inquiry and aesthetic experience.
