Fernando Zóbel

Fernando Zóbel was an abstract painter whose lyrical, calligraphic works bridged Eastern and Western aesthetics. He founded the Museo de Arte Abstracto Español in Cuenca and was instrumental in developing abstract art in the Philippines. His delicate, atmospheric paintings are held in the Ateneo Art Gallery and National Museum of the Philippines.
