Ettore Forti

Ettore Forti was an Italian painter known for his highly detailed and realistic depictions of ancient Roman life, often referred to as Neo-Pompeian scenes. His work flourished during the late Victorian era, a period when romanticized visions of antiquity were enormously popular, placing him alongside celebrated contemporaries such as Lawrence Alma-Tadema. Though little biographical detail is recorded, his paintings remain prized for their vivid historical atmosphere and meticulous craftsmanship.
