Conrad Shawcross

Conrad Shawcross (born 1977) is a British artist known for his large-scale kinetic sculptures and installations that explore the intersections of science, philosophy, and mathematics. His work often investigates themes of time, space, and light through mechanical systems and geometric structures, drawing on theories from physics and metaphysics. Shawcross has gained international recognition for major public commissions and institutional exhibitions, including works at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, where he became the first artist to install a permanent work in the institution's courtyard.
