Anwar Jalal Shemza was a Pakistani-British artist and writer whose practice spanned painting, printmaking, and literature. Initially influenced by Modernism and Paul Klee, his later works incorporated traditional Islamic aesthetics. Beyond visual art, he published Urdu novels and poetry in the 1950s and wrote plays for Radio Pakistan.
