Alfredo Ramos Martínez (1871–1946) was a pioneering Mexican modernist painter who played a foundational role in shaping Mexican art in the early twentieth century. Known for his luminous depictions of indigenous women, flowers, and the Mexican landscape, he blended Post-Impressionist technique with a deep reverence for Mexican culture and identity. He directed the Academy of San Carlos in Mexico City and later emigrated to California, where he continued producing vibrant works that bridged Mexican and American artistic traditions.
