Alfred Thompson Bricher (1837–1908) was an American landscape painter celebrated for his luminous coastal scenes and serene depictions of the New England shoreline. Associated with the Hudson River School, he was known for his meticulous attention to light, water, and atmospheric effects. Bricher studied with the Lowell Institute in Boston before establishing himself as a prominent figure in 19th-century American landscape painting.
