Adriana Lestido is an Argentine documentary photographer renowned for her deeply humanistic black-and-white photography that explores themes of marginalization, motherhood, and female identity. Her long-term projects, often spanning years, document subjects such as women in prison, psychiatric patients, and mother-daughter relationships with intimate empathy and formal rigor. She is considered one of the most important Latin American photographers of her generation and her work has been exhibited internationally and collected by major institutions.
