Sohrab Sepehri (1928–1980) was an Iranian poet and painter regarded as one of the five pillars of modern Persian poetry, alongside Nima Youshij, Ahmad Shamlou, Mehdi Akhavan-Sales, and Forough Farrokhzad. His poetry is deeply influenced by Eastern mysticism, nature, and Zen philosophy, creating a uniquely contemplative and lyrical voice. His works have been translated into numerous languages including English, French, Spanish, Italian, Lithuanian, and Kurdish.
