Scott Lyall is a Canadian conceptual artist whose practice investigates the materiality of images, the nature of color, and the conditions of display and reproduction. Working across painting, photography, and installation, Lyall explores how surfaces and substrates mediate our experience of color and light, often producing works that interrogate the boundaries between digital and physical image-making. He has exhibited internationally and is associated with a rigorous, theory-driven approach to abstraction and post-conceptual painting.
