Roderic O'Conor was an Irish Post-Impressionist painter known for his bold use of color and distinctive striped brushwork technique, heavily influenced by his time in Pont-Aven, Brittany, where he worked alongside Paul Gauguin. He spent much of his career in France, developing a highly personal style that blended the influences of Van Gogh, Cézanne, and the Symbolist movement. His works, including landscapes, nudes, and still lifes, were largely unrecognized during his lifetime but have gained significant value and critical acclaim in the decades following his death.
