Raqib Shaw

Raqib Shaw creates intricate paintings using enamel, glitter, and jeweled surfaces that blend Eastern and Western iconography in fantastical scenes. His labor-intensive technique produces richly decorated works referencing Old Masters and mythology. His work is held by the Tate, Victoria and Albert Museum, and Metropolitan Museum.
