Mahmoud Saïd

Egyptian modernist painter and sculptor (1897-1964) who was a founding figure of modern Egyptian art. He blended Western modernist techniques with Egyptian themes and aesthetics, and was instrumental in establishing the art scene in Cairo during the early 20th century.
