Leo Putz (1869, 1940) was a German-Italian painter celebrated for his luminous depictions of the female nude, landscapes, and leisure scenes rendered in a distinctive blend of Impressionism and Jugendstil. Born in Merano (then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire), he studied in Munich and Paris, becoming a prominent member of the Munich Secession and contributing significantly to German fin-de-siècle art.
