John Kacere (1920–1999) was an American Photorealist painter best known for his highly detailed, large-scale oil paintings depicting the midsections of women clad in lingerie, rendered with extraordinary technical precision and sensuality. A founding member of the Photorealist movement, he was represented by the influential O.K. Harris Gallery in New York, where his work gained significant critical and commercial attention. His paintings are celebrated for their almost hyperreal quality, blurring the boundary between painting and photography.
