Ho Kan (b. 1932) is a Taiwanese abstract painter who spent much of his career in Milan, Italy, becoming a pivotal figure bridging Eastern philosophy and Western abstraction. A founding member of the influential Taiwanese avant-garde group Ton Fan (Eastern Wind) in 1956, he developed a distinctive visual language blending calligraphic marks, ancient Chinese symbolism, and geometric abstraction. His works have been collected internationally and achieved significant results at major auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's Asia.
