Hao Liang

Hao Liang (born 1983) is a Chinese contemporary painter based in Beijing who works primarily in ink on silk, reviving and reinterpreting classical Chinese painting traditions through a modern conceptual lens. His meticulous works draw on literati painting, Song and Yuan dynasty aesthetics, and traditional figure painting while infusing them with psychological complexity and contemporary sensibility. Considered one of the most significant voices in the renewal of Chinese ink painting, his work has been exhibited internationally and commands strong interest at major auction houses.
