Guy Carleton Wiggins (1883, 1962) was an American Impressionist painter celebrated for his vibrant, atmospheric depictions of New York City street scenes in winter, particularly along Fifth Avenue. The son of noted artist Carleton Wiggins, he studied at the National Academy of Design and became one of the most sought-after chroniclers of early 20th-century urban life. His snow-laden cityscapes, rendered with loose, luminous brushwork, remain among the most beloved examples of American Impressionism and consistently achieve strong results at auction.
