Gulam Rasool Santosh

G.R. Santosh (1929, 1997) was a pioneering Indian modernist painter who began his career as a figurative artist before undergoing a profound spiritual transformation that led him to develop a distinctive neo-Tantra style. His works, characterized by geometric forms, mandala-like compositions, and vibrant chromatic fields rooted in Kashmir Shaivite philosophy, became highly influential in Indian contemporary art.
