Dr. Lakra

Dr. Lakra (Jerónimo López Ramírez) is a tattoo artist and visual artist whose work combines found imagery, vintage prints, and tattoo aesthetics to create hybrid cultural objects. His drawings on vintage magazines and taxidermied animals explore mestizaje and Mexican popular culture. He has exhibited at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston and kurimanzutto gallery.
