Domenico Puligo

Domenico Puligo (1492–1527) was a Florentine painter of the High Renaissance, known for his refined portraiture and devotional works characterized by soft modeling and lyrical elegance. A pupil of Ridolfo Ghirlandaio, he was also influenced by Andrea del Sarto, whose graceful style is evident in his Madonnas and female portraits. His works frequently appear at major auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's, prized for their intimate warmth and delicate sfumato technique.
