Daniele Tamagni (1980, 2017) was an Italian documentary photographer celebrated for his vibrant portrayals of subcultures and street fashion across Africa, Latin America, and beyond. He gained international recognition for his work documenting the sapeurs of the Congo, the stylish members of the Société des Ambianceurs et des Personnes Élégantes, published in his acclaimed book 'Gentlemen of Bacongo' (2009). His photographs captured the intersection of identity, elegance, and resilience, earning him the World Press Photo award and widespread exhibition in major galleries and institutions.
