Daniel Ridgway Knight

Daniel Ridgway Knight was an American painter born in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, best known for his idyllic depictions of French peasant life and rural scenes. He spent much of his career in France, where he became closely associated with the Impressionist and academic realist traditions. His work celebrated everyday life in the French countryside, particularly scenes featuring women and children in pastoral settings.
