Mariano Salvador Maella (1739–1819) was a prominent Spanish court painter who served as First Court Painter to King Charles IV of Spain. Born in Valencia, he trained under leading masters in Madrid and Rome, becoming a key figure in Spanish late Baroque and Neoclassical painting. Works attributed to him reflect his mastery of religious, mythological, and portraiture subjects that defined the aesthetic of the Spanish royal court during the late 18th century.
