Miguel Rio Branco

Rio Branco is a photographer and multimedia artist known for vivid, sensual images exploring Brazil's social margins. His photobook Dulce Sudor Amargo (1985) and installations combining photographs, paintings, and projections address violence and beauty. He is a Magnum Photos member and his work is held by MoMA, Fondation Cartier, and Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo.
