Bengt Lindström (1925–2008) was a Swedish painter known for his explosive, expressive style that drew from both Nordic mythology and primitive art traditions. His work is characterized by thick impasto surfaces, vivid colors, and powerful figurative imagery often depicting shamanic and totemic forms. Considered one of the most significant Swedish artists of the 20th century, Lindström spent much of his career in France and gained international recognition for his visceral, gestural canvases.
