T Lux Feininger (1910, 2011) was an American-German artist and photographer, the son of renowned Bauhaus master Lyonel Feininger. Educated at the Bauhaus in Dessau, he developed a distinctive practice that encompassed painting, drawing, and photography, including iconic documentary photographs of Bauhaus life and students. His paintings often reflected a lyrical, semi-abstract approach influenced by his Bauhaus training and his father's Expressionist sensibilities.
