Shafic Abboud (1926–2004) was a Lebanese painter celebrated for his vibrant, lyrical abstractions that bridged the Arab world and the École de Paris tradition. He spent much of his career in Paris, developing a luminous, gestural style deeply influenced by color, light, and Mediterranean sensibility. His works have achieved significant recognition at major auction houses including Christie's and Bonhams, particularly in their Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art sales.
