Choucair was a pioneer of abstract art in the Arab world, creating sculptures, paintings, and modular forms inspired by Islamic geometry and architecture. Her work remained relatively unknown until a major retrospective at Tate Modern in 2013, after which she gained international recognition. Her sculptures and tapestries are now in collections at the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, Tate, and the Institut du Monde Arabe, establishing her as a crucial modernist figure.
