Rafal Bujnowski

Rafał Bujnowski is a Polish conceptual painter born in 1974 in Kraków, whose practice investigates the nature of painting itself, often through serialized, process-driven works that explore perception, reproduction, and the conventions of representation. He is known for works that deliberately interrogate the medium's boundaries, including paintings that resemble photographs, functional objects, or systematic studies of color and light. Associated with the vibrant Kraków art scene, Bujnowski has exhibited internationally and is considered one of the leading figures of contemporary Polish painting.
