Qi Baishi

Qi Baishi was a Chinese painter and printmaker who lived from 1864 to 1957, becoming one of the most celebrated artists of modern China. Known for his distinctive style combining traditional ink painting with expressive brushwork, he depicted subjects such as landscapes, flowers, insects, and birds. He served as a teacher and mentor to many artists and helped bridge traditional Chinese art with modernist sensibilities.
