Placido Costanzi was an Italian painter of the late-Baroque period, renowned for his religious and decorative works adorning numerous churches in Rome. He was a distinguished member of the Accademia di San Luca, eventually serving as its director (Principe) from 1758. Among his notable pupils was Pietro Antonio Gualdi Lodrini.
