Max Volkhart

Max Volkhart (1848–1935) was a German genre painter known for his charming depictions of everyday life, particularly scenes featuring children, domestic interiors, and rural folk in the Bavarian tradition. He studied at the Munich Academy and became associated with the sentimental realist style popular in late 19th-century German painting. His works were widely reproduced and remained popular through auction sales for their warmth and technical refinement.
