László Moholy-Nagy (1895–1946) was a Hungarian-born avant-garde artist, photographer, and educator whose innovative work bridged fine art, design, and technology. A key figure at the Bauhaus school in Weimar Germany, he championed the integration of light, space, and industrial materials, pioneering photograms, kinetic sculpture, and experimental typography. His influential ideas on vision and design were further disseminated through his founding of the New Bauhaus in Chicago in 1937, cementing his legacy as one of the most forward-thinking artists of the 20th century.
