Konstantin Zvezdochetov (born 1958) is a prominent Russian conceptual artist and co-founder of the Mukhomor (Toadstool) group, an influential Moscow underground collective active in the early 1980s that blended Soviet kitsch, irony, and subversive humor. He is also associated with the Chempiony Mira (Champions of the World) group and is a key figure in the Moscow Conceptualism movement, known for his colorful, satirical paintings that appropriate Socialist Realist imagery and popular culture. His work critically engages with Russian national identity, folklore, and the absurdities of Soviet and post-Soviet life.
