Julião Sarmento

Sarmento worked across painting, photography, film, and installation creating enigmatic compositions addressing desire, memory, and voyeurism through fragmented narratives and cinematic imagery. His work referenced film noir and literature in sophisticated conceptual pieces. He represented Portugal at the Venice Biennale and is held by major European and American museums.
