Joseph-Charles Marin

Joseph-Charles Marin (1759–1834) was a distinguished French sculptor celebrated for his delicate terracotta and marble works, often depicting mythological subjects, portraits, and allegorical figures. A student of Clodion, he carried forward the elegant Neoclassical and late Rococo traditions, producing highly refined small-scale sculptures that were prized by collectors. His works have appeared regularly at major auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's, where his terracotta groups and busts command significant prices.
