José Clemente Orozco

Orozco was a muralist and printmaker, part of the 'Big Three' of Mexican Muralism alongside Rivera and Siqueiros. His powerful, dramatic works like the Hospicio Cabañas murals in Guadalajara and the Dartmouth College murals depicted human suffering, war, and social injustice with emotional intensity. His work is held by major institutions including MoMA, the Met, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
