Jan Anthonisz. van Ravesteyn (c. 1572–1657) was a prominent Dutch Golden Age portrait painter based in The Hague, renowned for his dignified depictions of aristocrats, military officers, and members of the Dutch court. He served as an official painter to the States-General and the Prince of Orange, producing numerous group portraits and individual likenesses that captured the prestige of his era. His refined technique and ability to convey status and character made him one of the most sought-after portraitists in the Northern Netherlands during the first half of the 17th century.
