Iñaki Bonillas is a Mexico City-based conceptual artist whose practice centers on photography, archives, and the processes of memory and translation. He is perhaps best known for his long-term engagement with the photographic archive of his late grandfather, J.R. Plaza, which he has transformed into a series of conceptual works exploring authorship, memory, and representation. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at major institutions and biennials, and he is considered one of the leading figures of contemporary conceptual art from Latin America.
