Clyde Singer (1908–1999) was an American Realist painter known for his vivid depictions of everyday American life, particularly scenes set in bars, diners, pool halls, and urban social spaces. A student of John Sloan and a longtime associate of the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio, Singer captured the working-class experience with warmth and gritty authenticity. His work is widely collected and frequently appears at American regional and national auction houses.
