Carlo Francesco Nuvolone (1609, 1662) was an Italian Baroque painter born in Milan, known for his refined portraiture and religious compositions. A pupil of his father Panfilo Nuvolone, he worked extensively in Milan and became one of the leading figures of the Lombard school. His works are characterized by delicate handling of light, soft coloring, and an elegant naturalism influenced by Guido Reni and the Bolognese tradition.
