Bernardino Licinio was a prominent Venetian Renaissance painter active in the early sixteenth century, known for his refined portraiture and devotional altarpieces. A member of the influential Licinio family of artists, he trained in the tradition of Giovanni Bellini and was deeply influenced by Giorgione and Titian. His works are celebrated for their luminous color, psychological depth, and elegant depiction of Venetian patrician society.
