Bartolomeo Vivarini was a prominent Italian Renaissance painter from Venice, active during the second half of the 15th century. He was a key member of the Vivarini family workshop in Murano and is known for his richly colored altarpieces and devotional panels that blended Gothic traditions with early Renaissance influences. His works, featuring rigidly stylized yet expressive figures of saints and Madonnas, are held in major museums and appear regularly at international auction houses.
