Ángel Zárraga (1886–1946) was a Mexican modernist painter known for his richly symbolic and technically refined works that blended European academic traditions with Mexican cultural identity. He spent much of his career in Paris, where he absorbed influences from Symbolism, Italian Renaissance masters, and early 20th-century European movements, producing allegorical canvases, religious compositions, and portraits. His work is held in major Mexican institutions and has achieved significant results at Latin American art auctions.
