Alexander Coosemans (1627, 1689) was a Flemish Baroque painter renowned for his exquisite still life compositions, particularly opulent arrangements of fruits, flowers, and luxury objects. A pupil of Jan Davidsz. de Heem in Antwerp, he mastered the rich, detailed style characteristic of the Flemish still life tradition. His works frequently appear at major auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's, prized for their luminous realism and decorative grandeur.
